Apparently, Microsoft has an iPod killer in the works. A portable music device that will download songs to itself wirelessly (rather than having to be transferred through the computer ala the iPod norm now). But if that weren’t enough, Microsoft wants your business so badly that it will let you download for free any songs you’ve already bought from the iTunes Music Store. It will scan iTunes for purchased tracks and then automatically add those to your account. Microsoft will still have to pay the rights-holders for the songs, but the company believes it’ll be worth it. Is this enough to switch from Apple to Microsoft? We shall see…
