Could Cause Lawmakers to Hesitate on Driverless Legality
Lawmakers have already been hesitant to approve driverless vehicles on the road. At this time, only California, Michigan, Nevada, Florida, Arizona, North Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, and Washington D.C. allow driverless cars on the road. The fatality may make some lawmakers in the other states wary of legalizing driverless transportation and may make the states that currently have the approval make some adjustments to the laws.
