Alright folks, let’s get real about some pricing for a second here. So, if you wanted a 47+ inch TV with HD and 3D capability you are at the bare minimum talking $1000+. In honesty, for a decent piece of kit you are talking more in the $2500-$5000 range and frankly that is some big bucks for most of us. Well, we could wait til black Friday and try and get an awesome bargain in the melee that is the sales or we could go another route and get a super high tech projector that allows us the option of a really massive screen.
Until now projectors had been gradually falling out of fashion because they were just not keeping up with TV tech. That has all changed, however, because now Epson have released the PowerLite Home Cinema 2030, a projector that comes in at just $999. This is considerably less than TVs that can match the potential screen size yet still this projector can screen in HD and 3D. It offers built-in speakers and the option to add speakers as well as hook up a vast array of devices through which you can play your media.
This is a serious piece of kit and yes it is a little more tricky than a simple old TV. You do need a certain level of tech knowledge to get all your devices hooked up and running through this device. However, if you have a big old room in your house with a sizable wall that can play host to a projector screen then you have really got something here. You can project your TV shows, movies and console games up onto a massive screen which offers great quality thanks to the projector.
