Today is the day that all you Blackberry fans will be able to visit a store and enjoy a first hand-look (and purchase, if you’re so inclined) of the Blackberry Pearl Flip 8220, Research In Motion’s (RIM) newest smart phone release. This new model is significant in that it is the first flip phone of the Blackberry brand, which has been a frequent request by its user-base, and anxiously awaited. Originally the phone will be available in a black chrome color, however if you’re into pink, wait a few weeks as they’re scheduled to release a more feminine version shortly.

As would be expected from any product carrying the Blackberry name, the Pearl Flip 2220 comes with all the bells and whistles, including: a QWERTY keyboard, a two megapixel camera, bluetooth compatibility, a speakerphone, a range of business software, and pretty much every other high-end feature that you’d expect from a Blackberry phone. If you’re in Canada, you can find the model at your local Rogers Wireless, with the cost varying depending on your Rogers contract. So, if you’re in the market for some new eye-candy in the form of a wireless device, the Pearl Flip 8220 is unlikely to disappoint.
