They do play an important role is the ever expanding future of the company, but the real value lies in their ability to leverage business operations for other people, and keep user interaction/website actions within the company. Mark even said specifically that he wants to see Facebook become a &quot;platform for the internet&quot;, bot just a widget breeding playground.
