In regards to the online purchase package delivery, get a PO box.
I can get to my box any hour of the night or day so I can pick up packages on my own time. They are also very affordable.

Haha. Kevin, I couldn't agree more! When will there be a delivery service tailored to homes and not businesses? It's 2007 already, geez.

Online shopping is a godsend. I use Amazon all the time. In fact, browsing around the site has become something I do just to kill time.

My only beef with online shopping is the shipping part of it - and that's much more a critique of the USPS/UPS/FedEx than of the experience in general. These delivery services seem to think that regular people can take a day off work to sign for a parcel. Where does the post office get off closing at 5pm on weekdays?!

(Can you tell I'm expecting some presents this week?)

Thanks for the classic story of Christmas shopping bliss. Good move on cutting your loses in the slow line. This kind of stuff is why I only bought one thing at a brick-and-mortar store for Christmas this year. Unfortunately, returning items (such as in your clothing example) isn't as easy online.
