The Wall Street Journal (subscription required) brings cost into the equation by saying that Apple “is expected next week to introduce new versions of its digital music players that have more features, but cost the same.” The WSJ, however, doesn’t admit to its own speculation, instead relying on a new source: “Apple fan sites.” Here’s another excerpt:
“…the new iPods would be the first to be based on a version of Apple’s homegrown computer operating system. They will be about an inch shorter and will be capable of storing more digital media, according to Apple fan sites.”
The Wall Street Journal usually quotes its mysterious sources as “people familiar with the matter” or “people familiar with the situation.” But it looks like those infamous sources couldn’t come up with more than what’s out there via the Apple fanboys. Whatever the case, Apple has a captive audience if major newspapers are willing to run stories with “Apple fan sites” as a leading source. Everyone seems excited, and Steve Jobs is smiling.
Connect your iPod with your computer parts to listen to different songs like streaming music and online music from your computer!
